COVERED BUS BAYS. ONSITE PEDESTRIAN WALKWAYS TO AID IN THE TRANSITION FROM THE MMTC TO BUS BOARDING. CROSSING SAFETY FEATURES AND ENHANCEMENTS ON 9TH 10TH H AND G STREETS PARKING FOR PUBLIC AND STAFF. CONDUIT FOR ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE. SPACE ONSITE FOR MULTIMODAL TRANSITIONS TO BUS FROM DRIVING WALKING BIKING; EXPECTED OUTCOMES: THE PROJECT WILL DIRECTLY ADDRESS LINCOLNS TRANSPORTATION CHALLENGES BY ALLOWING BUS ROUTES TO BE DESIGNED FOR SIMILAR ROUND-TRIP TRAVEL TIMES IMPROVING TRAVEL CONNECTIONS AND SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCING WAIT TIMES. WITH IMPROVED WAIT TIMES AND THE RESULTANT REDUCTION IN BUS IDLING AIR QUALITY WILL BE IMPROVED AND NOISE POLLUTION WILL BE REDUCED. THE MMTC WILL CREATE JOBS AS STATED IN THE CITY OF LINCOLN CODE THAT MANDATES PUBLIC EXPENDITURES MUST BE USED WITH THE DELIBERATE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING JOB CREATION THAT ENABLES CITIZENS TO SUPPORT THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES.
