A DILAPIDATED INDUSTRY TRACK ADJOINING THE ALAMEDA SIDING WILL ALSO BE REHABILITATED AS PART OF CONSTRUCTION.; EXPECTED OUTCOMES: THE NEW MEXICO RAIL RUNNER EXPRESS (NMRX) SYSTEM CONSISTS OF SINGLE TRACK FOR 14 MILES BETWEEN CONTROL POINT HAHN NEAR DOWNTOWN ALBUQUERQUE AND THE TOWN OF BERNALILLO TO THE NORTH. THE CAUSES SIGNIFICANT DELAYS TO RAIL RUNNER (COMMUTER RAIL) AMTRAK (INTERCITY) AND BNSF (CLASS I) FREIGHT TRAINS THAT MUST WAIT AT EITHER END OF THIS SEGMENT FOR TRAINS TRAVELING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.
